Zapraszamy do lektury i jej prenumeraty.

We are still observing how the architecture emerging from the digital technology revolution is expressed in curvilinear forms with a high degree of complexity. As usual, we present to you different creative attitudes reflected not only in the formation of high-rise buildings, as Lakhta Center, but also in the spreading forms designed for commerce, such as New Century Global Center, the largest, though not the tallest, building in the world. Their complex shapes arise not only from the desire to design free forms, but also from the willingness to use digital technologies as a tool to integrate the creative plan with its implementation in a way that is unprecedented since the medieval masons. A proof are the works of Toyo Ito, the winner of the Pritzker Prize 2013, and also of Arata Isozaki, who skillfully use digital tools that mimic evolutionary processes in Nature in the design of building structures. The issues of developing a human environment, especially in China, are addressed as well. This country is currently the world leader in the design and implementation of eco-cities. The initiatives which are undertaken there are ahead of the European or American operations. We would like to also inform the readers that we took over the patronage of several events organized by the students of leading universities in Poland. We are convinced that thanks to young architects and designers the Polish door for a new architecture will open up wider and wider. Thank you for your letters, invitations, compliments and criticism. We would like to invite you to subscribe. Enjoy your reading.
