Powróć do strony głównej: powrót
Z optymizmem zatem należy patrzeć w przyszłość i życzyć sukcesów w działaniach w różnych domenach architektury, już świątecznie, a niebawem i noworocznie.
From the Editor
The event of the finishing year 2012 was the 13th Architecture Biennale in Venice. In the search for the „common ground”, the achievements of both the past generations, as well as of the artists currently operating were presented. Their involvement in the exploration of new opportunities offered by digital technologies points to the direction which the twenty-first century architecture, sensitive to the environment and aimed at protecting the Planet, is following and is going to follow. This is even confirmed, as presented by AV, by the buildings designed by the Pritzker Prize winners, which are being carried out today in Abu Dhabi. The Art Garden and the Cultural Island are the subjects that make us aware of the demand for sensations and values of a higher order growing in the world. Although they are motivated differently, but are indicative of the formation of societies in which the knowledge and information treated as a special good become a commodity. Polish graduates of architectural schools are increasingly involved in eCAADe conferences and gain awards in international competitions. Also the need to expand academic teaching with new workshop issues on the second stage of the use of IT tools is being highlighted. Therefore, we should look forward to the future and wish success in the activities in different domains of architecture, both for Christmas and the coming New Year. AV 4-2012 is the last issue closing the first year of publishing Archivolta with its new profile. We are also on facebook, and there, as usual, is happening a lot.
